Film Session: Louisiana

  • Nov 23, 2021

In its win Sunday night against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, Indiana hit a season-best 10-of-19 (52.6 percent) from 3-point range. Most of that long-range damage was done in the second half as the Hoosiers hit 8-of-14 over the final 20 minutes of action.

Beyond Parker Stewart’s hot hand, the most impressive aspect of the 3-point barrage was all the different ways Indiana generated the looks, be it in the half court against both man and zone defense, a baseline out-of-bounds play, ball screen action or transition play.

We’ll take a look at Indiana’s varied 3-point attempts in the latest edition of Film Session:

In our first clip, Khristian Lander takes a ball screen from Michael Durr and is able to exploit a switch to get down to the basket area. With Tamar Bates open in the right corner due to his man coming to help, Lander finds him for the triple.
