James Blackmon Jr. and Yogi Ferrell will play for Assembly Ball, IU’s TBT alumni team
Assembly Ball, IU basketball’s alumni team in the TBT, made its debut last summer.
After cruising past Men of Mackey in the second round, Assembly Ball fell to Eberlin Drive at Hinkle Fieldhouse in the third round.
The alumni team is back this year and will again play at Hinkle Fieldhouse as the host of the Indianapolis Regional. Games will be played July 19-22. Tickets are available here.
This year’s roster will include Yogi Ferrell, who played last season, and James Blackmon Jr., who will be making his debut in the TBT.
According to a release from the TBT, the winner of the Indianapolis Regional will advance to the TBT Quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31 and the TBT $1 Million Championship will be played on Aug. 3.
In addition, “this year the TBT will give each host team the opportunity to have home court advantage for the quarterfinals, semifinals and the $1 million championship game. Should two regional hosts face off, the tie breaker will be determined by which host sells 4,000 tickets the fastest.”
