IU basketball announces 2026-27 non-conference schedule

IU men’s basketball announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Tuesday morning.

The non-conference schedule features 12 games, including nine at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and three at neutral sites.

An NCAA rule change that went into effect this season allows for an additional non-conference game. Previously, the limit was 11 non-conference games per season.

The 2026-27 non-conference slate for year two of the Darian DeVries era is highlighted by five games against high-major opponents.

Indiana will play Syracuse at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Arkansas at Madison Square Garden, Kentucky at Lucas Oil Stadium and UCF and Missouri in Bloomington.

The Hoosiers will play guarantee/buy games against Eastern Illinois, Bellarmine, Tennessee Tech, Jacksonville, Bowling Green, Western Illinois and Fairleigh Dickinson.

Five of those seven contests – Eastern Illinois, Fairleigh Dickinson, Bellarmine, Bowling Green and Western Illinois – were revealed before today’s non-conference schedule release.

In addition to the 12 non-conference contests, the Hoosiers will play three exhibitions in October. On consecutive Sundays beginning October 11, IU will play Butler, North Carolina and Western Kentucky.

The Big Ten schedule, which is expected to be released in the coming weeks, will feature a pair of games in December.
