IU football defensive lineman Kellan Wyatt will return to the Hoosiers for the 2026 season following a court ruling late last week in Colorado.

Wyatt’s return was announced via IU football’s social media accounts.

The 6-foot-2, 257-pound Wyatt started seven games for IU last season before missing the final nine games of the season following an injury he sustained against Michigan State.

He transferred to IU from Maryland before the 2025 season.

Wyatt had 12 solo tackles, eight tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks in the 2025 season.

He was IU’s fifth-leading tackler overall with 27 at the time of his injury.

His return further solidifies an already impressive defensive line that will again be among the nation’s best this fall.

The Hoosiers return Tyrique Tucker, Mario Landino and Daniel Ndukwe and added a pair of impact transfers in Tobi Osunsanmi and Chiddi Obiazor.

Earlier this week, the Hoosiers announced that Stephen Daley will return for the 2026 season.
