Welcome to another edition of 6-Banner Sunday, a joint production between The Assembly Call and Inside the Hall, where we highlight the five most essential IU basketball stories of the past week, plus take a look at how the other IU sports programs are doing.

One of IU’s signature non-conference games now has a TV designation and tip time.

IU women’s basketball landed a significant recruit, Inside the Hall continued its series previewing each Big Ten squad and football improved to 5-0. As usual, we will conclude with weekly shows and a look at other IU sports, which were highlighted by the volleyball team opening Big Ten play with multiple victories.

Here is what is in this week’s edition:

• TV designation and tip time announced for UK game
• IU women’s basketball lands commitment
• 2025-26 Big Ten team previews
• Football survives at Iowa for second straight 5-0 start
• Podcast on the Brink and Back Home Network shows
• Hoosier Roundup

Banner #1 – TV designation and tip time announced for UK game

With the full schedule now out, some games are now being assigned a time and TV network. The latest of these was announced for the Kentucky matchup.

The long-standing rivalry was discontinued after the “Wat Shot” in 2012 and this year will mark the first regular-season matchup since that legendary moment. The beginning of a four-game series in as many years starts in Lexington on Saturday, December 13, at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Some updates on recruiting occurred for both men’s and women’s basketball this week. On the women’s side, Teri Moren is quickly putting together the best class in program history for 2026. The latest commit was GiGi Battle, who is the third top-60 player in that class out of four overall.

On the men’s side, the Hoosiers offered a top prospect for 2027 in Jeremy Jenkins Jr.

Inside the Hall continued its series previewing all the teams in the Big Ten.

This week, WisconsinOregonUSC and Michigan State were broken down.

Banner #4 – Football survives at Iowa for second straight 5-0 start

After Indiana dominated top-10 Illinois, which moved the Hoosiers up in the polls, an even tougher test awaited this week.

Led by Fernando Mendoza, Indiana went on the road and edged Iowa in a slugfest 20-15 to improve to 5-0.

Conference play continues two weeks from yesterday with another blockbuster. The Cream and Crimson will have their second road game of 2025 when they head to Oregon.

Banner #5 – Podcast on the Brink and Back Home Network shows

Inside the Hall’s Podcast On The Brink returned this week. On it, the recently retired Rick Bozich discussed IU basketball and football.

The Back Home Network was on air many times this week as new shows continue to be added.

Banner #6 – Hoosier Roundup

• Volleyball opened Big Ten play with two victories.

• Men’s Soccer fell to Michigan State and beat UCLA.

• Women’s soccer fell to Rutgers and tied Washington.

• Field hockey fell to Iowa and Northwestern.

Now go enjoy yourself a 6-Banner Sunday.
