Class of 2026 five-star guard Jordan Smith lands IU scholarship offer
Jordan Smith, a five-star guard in the class of 2026, received a scholarship offer from IU basketball on Thursday.
Smith reported the offer on his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts.
The 6-foot-2 guard plays at Paul VI Catholic in Fairfax, Virginia and for Team Takeover on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) circuit.
Smith has offers from Duke, Louisville, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgetown, Houston, Kansas State, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Providence, Syracuse, Villanova and Virginia Tech.
Smith is ranked as the No. 4 player nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. He won a gold medal last summer with USA Basketball on the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup team in Turkey.
Indiana assistant coach Kenny Johnson has strong ties to the Team Takeover program, which features many players from the DMV area.
