Video: Mackenzie Mgbako preseason interview at IU basketball media day

Big Ten co-freshman of the year Mackenzie Mgbako is back for his second season in Bloomington.

After a slow start last season, Mgbako came on in conference play. Over 20 Big Ten games, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 13.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29.6 minutes per game. Mgbako shot 37.8 percent on 3s in Big Ten games.

At last month’s IU basketball media day in Bloomington, Mgbako spoke to the media about the possibility of playing the four, IU’s new backcourt, what he wants to improve on as a sophomore and much more:
