On Wednesday, September 25, class of 2025 La Lumiere guard Jalen Haralson will announce his college decision.

The announcement is expected at 7 p.m. ET via CBSSports HQ and the 247Sports YouTube channel.

The essentials

Guard/Wing, 6-7, 205-pounds, La Lumiere, Spiece Indy Heat

247Sports Composite: 5-star (13); 247Sports: 5-star (14); On3: 4-star (25); On3 Industry Ranking: 5-star (13); ESPN: 5-star (10); Rivals: 4-star (17)

The contenders

Haralson will choose between Indiana, Michigan State and Notre Dame. He took fall official visits to all three schools. The Indiana visit was first followed by Notre Dame and Michigan State.

His initial list of finalists also included Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Missouri and Purdue.

The timing

Haralson’s recruiting process has been lengthy. He’s been regarded as a five-star prospect nationally for the entirety of his high school career and has been taking visits since his freshman year.

After visiting IU, Notre Dame, and Michigan State, he canceled scheduled trips to Kansas, Missouri, and Purdue and entered the decision-making process.

His last visit to Michigan State was just under two weeks ago, so Haralson has had time to discuss the visits with his family and reach a decision.

Predictions

The 247Sports Crystal Ball does not have any predictions logged for Haralson nor does the Rivals Future Cast.

The On3 recruiting prediction machine, which utilizes machine learning to forecast college choices, has Indiana as the favorite, followed by Notre Dame and Michigan State.

It’s rare for a decision to be kept this tight-lipped just hours before it occurs, but Haralson and his family have kept things quiet as of early Wednesday morning.
