Indiana’s Mackenzie Mgbako featured on regional cover for Lindy’s Sports college basketball preview

With the start of the college basketball regular season just over two months away, a prominent college basketball preview magazine will hit newsstands this month.

The Lindy’s Sports college basketball preview magazine will be available September 10.

And Indiana’s Mackenzie Mgbako will be on the regional cover sold in Indiana.

The 6-foot-8 forward was named Big Ten co-freshman of the year last season by the league’s coaches. Mgbako averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists in 27 minutes per game. He shot 39.5 percent from the field, 32.7 percent on 3s and 82.1 percent from the free throw line last season.

Purdue’s Braden Smith, a first-team All-Big Ten selection, is on the cover with Mgbako. Notre Dame’s Markus Burton and Butler’s Finley Bizjack are also featured.

The cover also revealed the preseason top 10 for Lindy’s, which has no Big Ten teams:
