Yogi Ferrell added to the roster for Assembly Ball, IU’s TBT alumni team
The formation of IU’s first alumni team for The Basketball Tournament (TBT), Assembly Ball, was announced at the beginning of the month.
Today, Assembly Ball announced the fifth player for its roster – Yogi Ferrell.
The 6-foot guard, the program’s all-time assists leader, will join Juwan Morgan, Troy Williams, Devonte Green and Miller Kopp as the first five committed players.
TBT began in 2014 and is a winner-take-all, $1 million tournament that takes place each summer beginning in July. Assembly Ball will play in the Butler Regional July 19-23 at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Assembly Ball is scheduled to play its first game in the event on Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET with tickets available at this link.
The complete bracket for this year’s TBT will be revealed on Thursday, June 20. As the tournament approaches, additional players for the Assembly Ball roster are expected to be announced.
TBT will feature 27 nationally televised games this summer, including three on FOX.
