Indiana guard Sydney Parrish, who missed Sunday’s win against Purdue at Mackey Arena, remains sidelined as the Hoosiers prepare for Sunday’s home game against Northwestern.

Teri Moren spoke to the media this morning and provided a brief update on the status of Parrish, who is in her second season at IU after transferring from Oregon.

“Well, she’s dealing with a foot injury,” Moren said. “She’s out indefinitely. And her status is just going to be updated game-to-game. She’s in great hands. Trying to get her back as quickly but as safely as we can. So that’s where it’s at.”

The Hoosiers beat Purdue 74-68 without Parrish, who was wearing a walking boot after injuring her foot in practice on Jan. 19.

The 6-foot-2 guard from Fishers is averaging 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and .9 steals in 27.3 minutes per game. She’s shooting 39.3 percent on 3s and 77.1 percent from the free throw line.

The 16-2 Hoosiers, tied for first with Iowa and Ohio State in the Big Ten at 7-1 in league play, host Northwestern at Assembly Hall at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday. The game will be broadcast on B1G+.
