Four Big Ten coaches will begin the season on the hot seat, according to a prominent college basketball insider on social media.

Trilly Donovan, who has broken a significant amount of recruiting news on X (formerly Twitter), is now sharing his thoughts on college basketball on his site, BurnerBall.com.

And according to the anonymous scribe – who recently did an interview with The Athletic – there are four Big Ten coaches firmly on the hot seat entering the 2023-24 season.

Those coaches are Minnesota’s Ben Johnson, Nebraska’s Fred Hoiberg, Ohio State’s Chris Holtmann and Wisconsin’s Greg Gard.

Michigan’s Juwan Howard is mentioned as a “potential” mover.

The Big Ten only had one coaching change this offseason as Micah Shrewsberry departed Penn State for Notre Dame. Shrewsberry was replaced by Mike Rhoades, who left VCU.

Carmelo Anthony’s son plans to visit Indiana

Former NBA and Syracuse star Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan, earned a scholarship offer from Indiana on May 8.

The No. 44 player nationally in the 2025 class, according to the 247Composite, Anthony is a 6-foot-4 guard who plays at Long Island Lutheran in New York.

Indiana coach Mike Woodson coached Carmelo Anthony for several seasons in the NBA with the New York Knicks.

And now the younger Anthony may get a chance to get a closer look at the Indiana basketball program.

On Thursday evening, Adam Zagoria reported that Anthony is planning visits to Indiana, Florida State, Syracuse and Michigan. No dates for the visit have been finalized.

Anthony’s early list of scholarship offers is impressive.

In addition to Indiana and the schools above, he has offers from Maryland, Illinois, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Providence, Seton Hall and Tennessee.

Annor Boateng’s Indiana official visit is reportedly his last

Class of 2024 four-star wing Annor Boateng is scheduled to be on Indiana’s campus in late September.

The trip to Bloomington will reportedly be the last of his official visits.

Richard Davenport of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Wednesday that Boateng “hopes” to make a college decision shortly after his final official visit.

Boateng’s list of schools includes Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.

He’s already taken an official visit to Arkansas and has the following visits still to go: Missouri (this weekend), Georgia Tech (September 1-3), LSU (September 15-17), Virginia Tech (September 22-24) and Indiana (September 29-October 1).

On3’s “RPM” projects close to 63 percent chance of Derik Queen to Indiana

On3’s recruiting prediction model, which uses machine learning to predict recruiting outcomes, recently updated its projection for class of 2024 big man Derik Queen.

Queen is scheduled to visit Indiana September 8-10.

The On3 “RPM” has Queen pegged to Indiana at a 62.9 percent probability.

Maryland is at 28 percent, with no other school registering more than a one percent chance.

Houston is believed to be a significant threat to land Queen along with Indiana and Maryland.
