NBA jersey numbers, contract details revealed for Jalen Hood-Schifino, Trayce Jackson-Davis
Jalen Hood-Schifino and Trayce Jackson-Davis have both signed their rookie contracts and also have their jersey numbers set for the 2023-24 NBA season.
According to NBA “numerologist” Etienne Catalan, Hood-Schifino will wear No. 0 for the Los Angeles Lakers. Jackson-Davis will wear No. 32 for the Golden State Warriors.
Hood-Schifino, the No. 17 pick in last month’s NBA draft, wore No. 1 last season for IU. The Montverde Academy product has worn No. 11 thus far in NBA Summer League contests for the Lakers.
Jackson-Davis wore No. 4 at Indiana his first season and then No. 23 in his final three seasons in Bloomington.
Spotrac, which keeps records of contracts for most professional leagues, has also updated its database with details for Hood-Schifino and Jackson-Davis.
According to Spotrac, Hood-Schifino “signed a 4-year / $17,882,808 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. In 2023-24, Hood-Schifino will earn a base salary of $3,695,040, while carrying a cap hit of $3,695,040 and a dead cap value of $3,695,040.”
The deal for Hood-Schifino will be worth more than $17 million if the Lakers pick up his club option in years three and four of the deal.

The contract for Jackson-Davis has less guaranteed money as the No. 57 pick in the 2023 NBA draft. According to Spotrac, Jackson-Davis “signed a 4-year / $7,639,302 contract with the Golden State Warriors. In 2023-24, Jackson-Davis will earn a base salary of $1,119,563, while carrying a cap hit of and a dead cap value of $1,119,563.”
The deal guarantees Jackson-Davis approximately $3,011,520 for two seasons and has options for the third and fourth seasons.
