Thank you, Inside the Hall
I want to say thank you.
But before I get too far into that, let me provide some context.
As I prepare for the upcoming semester, I’m moving to IndyStar to cover IU athletics. This means I’m moving on from working for Inside the Hall. In the modern landscape of college sports, perhaps it’s fitting to say that I entered the transfer portal.
It has been quite the ride since my first story was published on Inside the Hall in late July 2020. There was a college basketball season that was far from normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I covered the 2020 Maui Invitational in… Asheville, North Carolina. There was a head coaching change. Traveling to The Bahamas. Indiana finally breaking through to beat Purdue for the first time since 2016. That isn’t even everything that happened.
I think my favorite part of the job has been learning about others. I’m an introvert, but I love connecting with other people.
In my coverage, I wanted to tell the stories about the people playing basketball. Not just the basketball players. I think that there’s a difference between the two. Basketball players face challenges. People face challenges. We face challenges.
So with that, I want to say thank you.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for following along. Thank you for your support. Thank you to Alex Bozich — who is a great boss and has become one of my closest friends.
So as I move on to what’s next, I will leave it at this.
Thank you.
