Indiana is 50-1 to win the 2023 national championship according to Caesars Sportsbook
With the deadline to withdraw from the NBA draft behind us, sportsbooks have started to update their odds to win the 2023 national championship.
Caesars Sportsbook originally had Indiana at 100-1 to win the 2023 title, but now has the Hoosiers at 50-1 after Trayce Jackson-Davis opted to return to school for a fourth season.
The Hoosiers are the third pick in the Big Ten to win the national championship behind Illinois and Michigan, who are both 40-1. The Wolverines opened at 28-1, but fell to 40-1 after several NBA draft departures, including Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate.
Purdue, which opened at 25-1, is now at 60-1 after Jaden Ivey and Trevion Williams left for the NBA and Isaiah Thompson and Eric Hunter Jr. transferred out of the program.
Ohio State and Michigan State are tied with Purdue for the fourth-longest odds to win the title at 60-1. The Buckeyes opened at 40-1 and the Spartans opened at 20-1.
The only other Big Ten teams with odds at 100-1 or better are Iowa at 75-1 and Wisconsin at 100-1.
The Hawkeyes opened at 60-1, but fell after Keegan Murray’s departure to the NBA and Wisconsin fell from 50-1 to 100-1 with the departure of Johnny Davis.
Two of Indiana’s non-conference opponents for next season are among the favorites to cut down the nets in Houston.
Kansas, which Indiana will face in December in Lawrence, is 18-1 and Arizona is 15-1. The Hoosiers will play the Wildcats in Las Vegas in December.
Here are the ten favorites to win the 2023 national title:
Kentucky 10-1

Houston 12-1
UCLA 12-1
North Carolina 12-1
Arizona 15-1
Duke 16-1
