Film Session: Michigan

Here’s Michigan setting up in the same spot as our last play with Jones taking the ball screen from Dickinson out past the left wing.

This time around, the Wolverines mix it up by running Jones through another screen as well, one being set by Caleb Houstan. Kopp calls for a switch as he looks to pick up the driving Jones and for Xavier Johnson to pick up his man, Houstan.

But Johnson misses the communication and Jones makes the pass to the popping Houstan. Still, Kopp is able to recover back and ward off the shot.

So Michigan resets and goes to ball screen action on the left side again between Dickinson and Jones. Jones gets by Jackson-Davis and heads towards the paint.

Kopp has come over on the help to stop Jones’ drive. As Jones goes up for the shot, Kopp blocks it.
