Film Session: Notre Dame
Back on the offensive end, Leal looks to make an entry pass to Jackson-Davis on the right side. As Prentiss Hubb observes, he moves down slightly to the action to try and ward off the pass, leaving Johnson room up top.
From there, Thompson sets a flare screen on Hubb as Johnson moves to the left wing. Leal makes the pass across and Johnson hits the 3-pointer.
While Johnson was only 2-of-9 from deep, this was a huge make when it mattered down the stretch. Nice action from Indiana’s offense here with the Thompson screen, playing the Irish’s extra attention on Jackson-Davis against them.
