Five Big Ten teams ranked in preseason top 25 Associated Press poll
Five Big Ten teams are ranked in the preseason top 25 Associated Press poll released on Monday afternoon.
Michigan, the preseason favorite to win the conference, is the highest rated Big Ten team at No. 6.
Also in the poll are Purdue (No. 7), Illinois (No. 11), Ohio State (No. 17) and Maryland (No. 21).
Michigan State is the first team out of the poll at (87 votes) and Indiana is the second team out of the poll (41 votes). Rutgers received 11 votes.
Indiana’s only non-conference opponents to receive votes were St. John’s (five votes), Syracuse (five votes) and Notre Dame (three votes).
