For the first time since 2014, Indiana is expected to take a foreign trip this offseason to play exhibition games.

Inside the Hall has learned that the Hoosiers will take a mid-August trip to the Bahamas to play a pair of exhibition games at the Atlantis Resort. The Indiana 247Sports site first reported the trip was taking place earlier on Friday morning.

Indiana’s opponent will be BC Mega from Serbia on August 13 and 15. The trip will take place from August 10-16. Indiana previously played in the Bahamas in 2007 over Labor Day weekend.

The last offseason foreign tour for the program came in 2014 when it played five exhibition games in Montreal.

A formal announcement with more details on the trip is expected soon.

Indiana will be playing its first season under coach Mike Woodson next winter. Woodson was named the 30th coach in Indiana program history in March after the firing of Archie Miller.

Inside the Hall will continue to follow this developing story.
