Film Session: Michigan

Geronimo sets a ball screen for Lander as Johns Jr. flat hedges:

Michigan switches with Johns Jr. now on Lander and Smith moving to Geronimo on the roll:

Lander moves on the mismatch, blowing by Johns Jr. Up ahead, Brown has moved off Durham in the corner to give help on Geronimo’s roll:

This ends up working out with a bit of luck for Michigan. Brown’s help on Geronimo runs right into Lander’s driving lane and he stops him hands up:

This allows Johns Jr. to recover and block the shot:

Good move and instincts by Lander to drive in on Johns Jr. But the Michigan defense was just a bit better by the time he got to the paint.
