Indiana redshirt senior Joey Brunk, who has not played this season, underwent back surgery on Wednesday morning.
According to IU, Brunk will remain out indefinitely.
The 6-foot-11, 255-pound center averaged 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game last season.
