Quick thoughts on an 89-77 win over Iowa:

How it happened: In desperate need of a win, Indiana delivered on Thursday night in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers raced out to an early lead on the strength of a 3-point shooting barrage from Devonte Green. The senior knocked down five triples in the first half as the Hoosiers scored 1.27 points per possession and built a 15-point lead. The cushion would balloon all the way to 20 by the 15:32 mark of the second half as the Hawkeyes simply couldn’t muster up the stops to ever seriously challenge the Hoosiers. The win, Indiana’s 16th of the season, snapped a four-game losing streak as the Hoosiers get set for roadtrips to Michigan and Minnesota.

Standout performer: With his brother Danny in the north endzone bleachers, Green torched Iowa for 27 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field. Green made seven 3-pointers and six free throws. Trayce Jackson-Davis also had a stellar night with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Statistic that stands out: Iowa entered the game averaging 1.11 points per possession, the best in the conference, but managed .99 points per trip in the loss.
