The recruitment of class of 2019 DeLaSalle (Minn.) and D1 Minnesota point guard Tyrell Terry is exploding this spring.

The 6-foot-3 floor general is up to 14 scholarship offers and received an offer from Indiana last week.

Inside the Hall watched Terry extensively during the first April evaluation period in Indianapolis and we’ve compiled highlights of the talented class of 2019 prospect below (Note: Terry is wearing jersey No. 5 in the clips):

Hurt is a long shot. I don’t think we’ll get him.

I think we are going to miss on some PGs in the next few years for the simple fact we have RP. My assumption is he will be our starting PG for 4 years and other top tier points will go elsewhere.

Definitely need some more lead guards on this team though. May be our glaring weakness this season. Time will tell. Can’t wait for the guys to get on campus and start putting in work!

I think Archie is casting a wide net for some PG’s over the next couple years. Obviously they would serve as backup for RP but I think coach knows he’s gotta be prepared for any scenario (injury, transfer, early NBA departure…).

This year we’ll be okay, we have Rob, Romeo, Al, and Devonte. Four good guards who can play either position. But we also have a few players that can play the 2/3 guard positions if really needed.

When the 2019 recruiting board comes out you see that Archie is targeting some more guards. Hopefully all we’ll lose after this season is Romeo. Only problem is there are only 3 slots open, maybe 4. I want Trayce, Keion, Trendon, and a quality guard.

We lose Morgan and Fitzner for sure. Langford is probable but I think a dark horse for the NBA draft would be Justin Smith. He has NBA size and athleticism and has a decent jump shot. I won’t say it’s a sure thing but not out of the realm of possibility.

What I meant was who would be gone other than the seniors. Losing Juwan and Evan would make it a 2019-20 class of 3. A possible transfer, like Justin to the NBA, would give us the 4 slots. And you’re right, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Justin does well enough to go pro.

#1 in this video is Matthew Hurt, right? That would be a nice package deal… The kid has great court vision. Needs to tighten up his handle a bit.

For sure. I’m just hoping we can still snag a quality guard that is ok with back up minutes. We didn’t have many quality true PGs backing up Yogi. I’m expecting the same for as long as RP is in town.

Agree 100. Plus there are fewer point guards and more “combo guards” these days.

I want TJD. If we don’t get him I will be bummed. Anything after that I don’t really mind. The coaches will work their magic. After landing Romeo, I believe anything is possible.
