Ramsey is up to No. 35 in the latest 247Composite and has scholarship offers from several high major schools, including Indiana. Alex – Would it be possible to publish a transcript with these videos? The background noise in the EYBL videos often makes it difficult to discern what is being said. Thanks as always for all the content you provide!

  • Koko

Good point and I wonder why there is no closed caption feature?
Sometimes there is and sometimes not.

  • Fivelefts

I’m not much impressed, by this kid.. Game or personality wise.

  • coachv

i’m not much impressed with you. grammar or personality wise

  • SCHoosier

Not a friendly response..he’s got a right to his opinion. Moderator where art thou?

  • SilentBob

And by the same token, doesn’t CoachV have a right to his opinion? What he said wasn’t any less friendly than what Fivelefts said.

  • for whom the balls roll

    Nice mature kid.

  • coachv

how about denigrating the personality of a 17 kid year old he has never met and knows absolutely nothing about. and quit crying for a moderator or i’ll have to pull your man card

  • IU Hoosiers # 34, 1979-83

On a side note, what do you guys think OG will need to average (in pts) next year? My bet is 12.

  • Fivelefts

    I didn’t denegrate anyone? I wasn’t specific at all..

  • for whom the balls roll

You’ve always been a very civil poster, so I was surprised you would come out so negatively about a player most of us know nothing about and have no reason to dislike. If anything it was the lack of specificity in your post that I think made some of us wonder. You have to remember that these kids tense up in front of a camera, and all kinds of strange mannerisms sometimes come out that don’t reflect what they are about or who they are. I noticed that when Archie was mentioned the kid relaxed a bit and seemed suddenly more in his element. It’s this sort of thing that I mostly look for in these interviews, how recruits seem to connect to our coach and other players. Archie seems to have this immediate effect on kids, makes them feel relaxed and in their element and in their game.

  • We don’t have any plans to add transcripts at this point.

  • Closed captioning is available only when the content creator provides a transcript.

  • SCHoosier

Understand..and appreciate the effort to get those videos. They are hard to hear given where they are recorded. Better to have them than not!

  • coachv

    you weren’t specific? wtf?

  • Koko

Understood, thanks for letting me know Alex.

  • Fivelefts

Thank you! For your response.. I understand how my comment came off, as negative. However.. saying that I wasn’t impressed.. is different than saying something specifically negative about him. I’ve actually seen a few interviews and highlights of him.. Along with all the other 2019 recruits, and I wasn’t very impressed with him.. Didn’t seem very interested in IU.. In comparison to some of the other recruits. I certainly don’t personally dislike the kid!

  • Ole Man

I think the part which may have riled people up was the “personality” wise.
I don’t think you meant it as a personal attack, but it could be construed that way (since this is the internet.)

  • Fivelefts

Yep! I can understand that. 🙂 I didn’t mean it, as badly as I worded it.. Thanks, for understanding the lack of malice, in my initial statement.

  • TorontoHoosierFan

Man card, seriously? I have no issue saying you’re not impressed with this kid, but I do tale issue with the use of juvenile terms like man card, particularly in the context in which it was used. How old are you dude?

  • runelord

Leave politics out of it. Talk about juvenile.

  • TorontoHoosierFan

Why is that juvenile? You might say it’s misguided or inappropriate, but certainly not juvenile. In any event, just found the ‘man card’ reference imbecilic; but this is a time to rejoice for IU fans. We got Romeo and are headed for an exciting year. Peace and Love.

  • runelord

    agreed on all fronts

  • Koko

At least he uses capital letters.

  • Koko

He called him a big fat stupid head…that is very unfriendly.
    And kinda childish at that.

  • VOXAC30

Yeah but he mentioned EXAVIER which is pronounced ZAVIER so Fiveslefts and a thumbs up from me. The only reason I know the pronunciation is because I live in the area and hear about Scruggs and Blueitt often. I typically try to schrug it off and accept the Travon blue it when he went to EXAVIER. I hate it when Indiana kids go to EXAVIER because I hear there fans always say why didn’t ________ go to IU.

  • SilentBob

    Cool beans

  • for whom the balls roll

It was actually quite funny and innocent, and you would have to understand coachv’s ongoing drama with moderators to get the humor.

  • coachv

calling someone a big fat stupidhead gets deleted? lol. i think alex should make me a moderator
