Archie Miller met with the media on Friday afternoon to preview Saturday’s matchup against Michigan State at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. In addition, De’Ron Davis also met with the media to discuss his Achilles injury and recent surgery.

Really enjoyed listening to DD’s comments. I feel for the kid, as I do for any player that suffers a season-ending injury. He’s clearly disappointed in himself for how the season transpired after all the work he put in during the offseason. Gave himself a D grade on his performance this season and an F on his performance last season. Shows maturity that he’s willing to be self-aware instead of egotistical. Hopefully that steels his resolve to come back and work harder than ever heading into next season.

DeRon has a good attitude about all this and about his future. Giving himself those low grades shows he has high expectations and that’s important.
