Former Indiana forward Thomas Bryant has agreed to a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Bryant, the No. 42 pick in last month’s NBA draft, will have a guarantee for next season and a team option for the 2018-19 season, according to Charania’s report.

The Lakers had just over $800,000 remaining in salary cap room for next season, which limited the deal they could offer Bryant.

In eight games as a reserve for the Lakers in the Vegas Summer League, Bryant averaged 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game.

The Lakers won the Vegas Summer League title.

Bryant averaged 12.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in 28.1 minutes per game as a sophomore in Bloomington.
