This is my own shortcoming but when I watch these videos I’m always trying to come up with some other player to compare them with. Marcus Smart.

I like Jallow, and believe that he is a very underrated payer. He would definitely be one of the four players I would want. That is, if Archie is going to try to save a couple of scholarships for the 2019 class.

The more I see of Jallow, the more I like him. Athletic wing that plays hard and with energy. He has a well rounded game on the offensive side but I think he could be a defensive stud on the wing. Would love to see him paired with Jerome Hunter on the wing.
I think the “inside out” approach to recruiting starts with a guy like Jallow. I know Romeo Langford is the bigger fish and I’m sure everyone on here, including myself would love to see him come to IU. But it’s players like Jallow (maybe not 5 stars but top 150 talent), that IU fans have watched commit to other schools in the region time after time and become difference makers for three or four years.

I don’t think Archie will use up all the scholarships for 2018 unless he signs a couple of guys who he thinks will be one and dones. He has mentioned about having a balanced class size and with Morgan being the only junior that would mean there would be only 1 scholarship available for 2019 if he used them all up in 2018.

Well on this site the answer to that question is always Victor Oladipo. Every player we sign that can dunk is the next Vic.

Now to answer your question honestly his game actually reminds me a little of Will Sheehey. I know he was blocking shots in the video, but I’m not sure if he will really be a shot blocker in college.

Agreed. He’s important for a handful of reasons:

    + defensive minded player
+ thick and tough which fits Archie’s player mold
    + lives in Bloomington
+ probably a 2, 3, or 4 year player where Romeo is likely only 1

I actually think he will. Not like Anthony Davis or some other big man, of course, but for his size and position, I think he will be one of those players who closes down from the weak side and blocks or alters a lot of shots. I have seen him play in person on multiple occasions, and even when he was younger and I questioned his offensive game, his timing and energy and timing on defense were obvious. And given CM’s ability to coach defense and put guys in the right position, I think a player like Jallow could really excel defensively.

We/IU need him. A big recruit is a must for the program.
