Class of 2016 Overland Park, Colorado forward De’Ron Davis is down to two schools remaining in his recruitment.

The 6-foot-8 Davis, a four-star prospect, has eliminated Arizona from consideration, according to his high school coach Danny Fisher.

Arizona recently took a commitment from Finland native Lauri Markkanen, a class of 2016 big man.

“After they got the commitment from Markkanen,” Fisher told Inside the Hall via text. “De’Ron went another direction.”

Davis has already taken an official visit to Bloomington and has an official visit scheduled to Mississippi State on Nov. 5-7.

The early signing period for college basketball begins on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Davis is considered a major priority for Indiana, along with guard Bruce Brown, who took an official visit this past weekend.

“Indiana has been there the entire time,” Fisher told Inside the Hall last month. “So I think that matters. That’s going to have some weight for sure.”
