Ferrell named second team preseason All-American by The Sporting News
The preseason accolades continue to pile up for Indiana senior Yogi Ferrell.
The Sporting News announced its three preseason All-American teams on Monday morning and Ferrell was named to the second team.
Joining Ferrell on the second team are Providence’s Kris Dunn, Kentucky’s Skal Labissiere, Kansas’s Wayne Selden and Wichita State’s Fred VanVleet.
The first team includes Wichita State’s Ron Baker, Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes, Virginia’s Malcolm Brodgon, Iowa State’s Georges Niang and North Carolina’s Marcus Paige.
The third team includes Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield, Maryland’s Melo Trimble, Kentucky’s Jamal Murray, LSU’s Ben Simmons and Gonzaga’s Kyle Wiltjer.
In addition to The Sporting News preseason All-American team, Ferrell was named the No. 4 point guard in the country by Lindy’s Sports and a third team preseason All-American by Athlon Sports.
