Glad this is back; thank you, Jerod (and Alex)!

  • Glad to be back. Thank you. 🙂

still get chills when i hear dan shulman say “jones…watford for the win…”

  • Same way I fell when I hear Fisch say “And there is pandemonium … here in the Superdome as Indiana’s won it.”

  • notfargj

appreciate your work, jerod. thanks for all you do!

  • twoturntables

Great stuff!! Much easier than swerving through traffic while checking ITH on my phone on the way to work. And I’ve always thought we needed a little more Counting Crows in the podcasts.

  • Let’s just hope we can go with one of their happier tunes for next season’s opening podcast. (Wait … do they have any happy tunes?)

  • Thank you for listening. I really appreciate it.

  • Alford Bailey

Hope you Boomingtonians have put out the red carpet for Shake Milton tomorrow. Shake and Bake, baby!

thank you! huge podcast addict, loved what youve guys done to cater to us podcast listeners, loved tuning in last year, glad its back

  • Guyton25

Good stuff. You simply can’t get these detailed IU discussions anywhere else this early.

  • Robert Weber

Yay! New POTB can only mean one thing: basketball season is upon us! Woo hoo! Jerod, will you continue to do post-game analysis on The Assembly Call this year as well?

  • bk39

Enjoyed the interview, and especially the thoughts on how each of the players fit into a team. First IU podcast I’ve listened to and Ill be back for more.

I dont know if Shake is actually coming this weekend now. He was supposed to fly through Chicago but O Hare was shut down all day because of a fire

  • ForeverIU

On his twitter he says he’s coming this morning (Saturday) instead of yesterday. I wonder if he’s gonna be at IUFB vs. Maryland. Also, minor issue, but it’s strange that he’s trending SMU (slightly) on the eve of his IU visit. We’ll see.

  • ForeverIU

I listened to the entire show show at 4 a.m. on a Saturday while trying to do other work, so you know it’s great. I can’t wait for the season to begin. Thanks Jerod and Alex.

  • Bryce Kepner

Okay, I figured he’d come this morning. I wouldn’t read much into the trending. I don’t put much trust in those predictions cause they change their mind constantly. They had Juwan Morgan going to Vanderbilt up until the day he announced, same with Blackmon going to Kentucky, they had him going there until the day of his announcement. I wouldn’t read much into it

Spectacular podcast! Lots of focus on the players, I hope CTC will develop and deliver on in-game coaching this year. Tom Watson sucked it up in the Ryder Cup. Wtf.

  • SCHoosier

I hope he missed the “football” game..only one team showed up anyway):

  • Snookafly

It was embarassing. I’ll just be happy knowing that at the end of the year we’ll have a win over the SEC East champion. Who’s got the best football conference now?

  • HannerTime Hoosier

Okey donkey, my previous comment posted, then was removed. This is becuz I typed a comment that is now the hottest thing on the Ryder Cup. It was actually hoping CTC rises up, but it was deleted. I think Alex, as he gets closer to IU hoops, will be more conservative. This is now your job Alex. Total respect. But maybe one of us will start a blog with ‘No Reservations’! This is not CHINA!

  • HannerTime Hoosier

Well, my initial post posted much later. Thx, as I strive to respect your parameters/expectations. Success is based on being fluid with one’s current circumstances, then responding accordingly. Cheers!

  • ForeverIU

Poor James (who was with Shake at the game), I wonder how he dealt with it … “Umm, did I tell you our very own Stan Robinson is from Maryland?”

  • Thank you! Excited to get it rolling again this year.

  • Thanks Guyton … looking to get your namesake on the show at some point. 😉

  • You know it! We’ll be there when the buzzer sounds.

  • Thank you!

  • Haha, great compliment. Thank you.

  • Thank you HannerTime. But don’t bury the lede here … it’s truly Hanner Time, and you need to step it up this year. If you do, could be a better-than-expected season in Bloomington. 😉
