INDIANAPOLIS — There was plenty for Tom Crean to discuss on Tuesday night at the IU Tailgate Tour at Lucas Oil Stadium.

At his second tour appearance, Crean talked about next season’s non-conference schedule, Noah Vonleh’s progress since arriving on campus, offseason workouts, Victor Oladipo, Cody Zeller and the NBA Draft and much more.

    ” Hanner is sooooo far ahead of where he was last year at this time “, I know he had plenty of room for improvement but it sounds like he may be that player that can give us some real quality minutes, in other words the player most of us hoped he would be last year ( or might have been before injury and the ncaa’s suspension nazis got in the way ). You can’t underestimate the importance of this ( if CTC isn’t embellishing to a great extent ) on a team that will have some many unknowns at the start of the season.

    AE testing out as the strongest player on the team at the end of spring workouts, even stronger than VO, CZ & CW. First off I think that has to surprise a lot more people than just me. Now, that, and the fact that he is ahead of where Mo was at this point in his rehab, gives one hope that he will surprise a lot of us in what he will be able to contribute.
