2013 Warren Central forward and IU signee Devin Davis Jr. scored a game-high 28 points and pulled down nine rebounds in a 57-54 overtime win at Fishers on Thursday night. (Video of his performance is available in the premium forum.)

The win moved the Warriors, coached by former IU standout Greg Graham, to 3-0 on the season.

Aftward, Davis talked to Inside the Hall about his developing midrange game, his thoughts on the Mr. Basketball race and more:

Am I correct in saying Devin now has a 28 point game and a 30 point game in a 3 game span? Also, 15 rebounds and 9 rebounds in that same span… What is he averaging? Sounds like a monster start to the season. Excited to see evidence of his improved mid-range game.

He’ll improve his national ranking quite a bit before college.

Devin will be a surprise in this upcoming class. He’s a 3-4 year guy depending on how he develops and adding that mid range game already will be deadly at the college level.

In the event that Cody does go pro, then I will not be upset to have Davis coming in next year… I am just holding out the hope that Zeller will return for a 3rd season.
