Grant Gelon becomes Indiana’s first commitment in 2016 class
Crown Point guard Grant Gelon became the first member of Indiana’s 2016 recruiting class on Wednesday when he committed on an unofficial visit to Bloomington.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 14.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last season at Crown Point and had offers from Central Michigan, Illinois-Chicago, IUPUI, Youngstown State, Western Carolina, Iona and Toledo.

In the adidas Summer Championships in Las Vegas, Gelon averaged 9.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game and shot 43.2 percent on 3-pointers for Indiana Elite.
Gelon received his scholarship offer while on his visit and committed before leaving town, according to multiple reports.
He is unranked by the 247Composite.
