Class of 2029 guard Micah Mohler announced his commitment to IU basketball on Tuesday afternoon.
Mohler, who just began his sophomore year at Austin High School, is the first class of 2029 pledge for the Hoosiers.
He is also the first in-state high school prospect to commit to the program under Darian DeVries.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 21.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists as a freshman at Austin, which finished the 2025-26 season 17-9.
He also had scholarship offers from Evansville, Purdue and Western Kentucky. Mohler, who grew up an IU fan, earned a scholarship offer from the program in June.
As a member of the 2029 class, he still has three high school seasons to play and won’t enroll in college until the 2029-30 season.
Mohler plays for Midwest Basketball Club on the adidas 3SSB circuit.
