Three more former IU basketball players have committed to new schools
Five of the six IU basketball players who entered the transfer portal last month have chosen new schools.
As of April 29, only Josh Harris (FAU) and Aleksa Ristic (Belmont) had committed to new schools, but three additional commitments were made over the last five days.
On Thursday, Jason Drake committed to Temple, followed by a commitment by Nick Dorn to Miami (FL) on Friday. On Sunday, Jasai Miles announced his commitment to Loyola Marymount.
That leaves Andrej Acimovic as the last uncommitted player of the six who entered the portal this spring.
Indiana has added six players from the transfer portal so far this spring: Jaeden Mustaf (Georgia Tech), Darren Harris (Duke), Markus Burton (Notre Dame), Samet Yigitoglu (SMU), Aiden Sherrell (Alabama) and Bryce Lindsay (Villanova).
Of the six players the Hoosiers lost to the portal, only Dorn had a significant impact last season.
A 6-foot-7, 225-pound wing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Dorn played in 30 games in the 2025-26 season for the Hoosiers and made 12 starts.
He averaged 8.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game and shot 40.4 percent on 3-pointers, 87 percent from the free-throw line and 38 percent on 3-pointers.
Dorn will now head to the ACC to play for Jai Lucas, who led the Hurricanes to an NCAA tournament appearance in his first season at Miami.
Miles, a 6-foot-6, 210-pound guard from Miami, Florida, played in 26 games in the 2025-26 season for the Hoosiers.
He averaged 1.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.5 minutes per game and shot 34.1 percent from the field, 50 percent from the free-throw line and 24 percent on 3-pointers.
Miles will now suit up for the Lions in the West Coast Conference. LMU is located in Los Angeles and finished last season with a 15-17 record.
Drake, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound guard from Oak Park, Michigan, did not play for the Hoosiers this season due to a foot injury.
He committed to the Hoosiers on April 22, 2025, as a transfer from Drexel University.
