2026-27 IU basketball roster tracker: Dorn becomes fifth Hoosier to hit the portal

Season one of the Darian DeVries ended in the Big Ten tournament and the roster for the 2026-27 season has only four confirmed players.

The Hoosiers finished the first season for DeVries at 18-14 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten. IU was picked to finish 10th in the Big Ten and finished 10th. The program missed the NCAA tournament for a third consecutive season. IU’s last appearance in the NCAA tournament came in 2023 under Mike Woodson.

The transfer portal opened Tuesday, April 7, and five of IU’s scholarship players from last season’s roster have entered.

Throughout the spring, we’ll track Indiana’s 2026-27 roster until it is complete. Here’s our latest version of the 2026-27 IU basketball roster tracker:

Out of eligibility and not returning

Six IU players from the 2025-26 season have completed their eligibility and will not return for the 2026-27 season.

Tucker DeVries, Lamar Wilkerson, Tayton Conerway, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey and Sam Alexis were six of IU’s top seven scorers from last season and will not be on IU’s roster next season.

Confirmed to return for the 2026-27 season

Trent Sisley, who averaged 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game in the 2025-26 season as a freshman, will return to Bloomington for his sophomore season.

He is the only confirmed returnee for IU basketball for the 2026-27 season and will be the leading returning scorer for the Hoosiers.

Entering the transfer portal

As of the early afternoon of April 9, five IU players have declared their intent to enter the transfer portal: Jason Drake, Jasai Miles, Josh Harris, Aleksa Ristic and Nick Dorn.

Drake announced his entry to the portal on Wednesday, April 1 and Miles and Harris both announced on Monday, April 6. Ristic announced his portal entry on Tuesday, April 7 and most recently, Dorn entered the portal on Thursday, April 9.

The portal will close on Tuesday, April 21.

Eligible to return

Besides Dorn, Drake, Harris, Miles, Ristic and Sisley – the six players who have made their intentions known for next season – one player from IU’s 2025-26 roster has eligibility remaining beyond this season.

Andrej Acimovic, a center from Bosnia who joined the program in late July of 2025 as the final addition to the 2025-26 roster, redshirted this past season.

Acimovic has not announced his plans for next season.

Roster additions from high school

Indiana currently has three freshmen committed to join the 2026-27 roster.

The Hoosiers signed guard Prince-Alexander Moody and wing Vaughn Karvala last fall and landed a commitment from wing Trevor Manhertz in late January. The program has officially announced the signings of Moody and Karvala and is expected to announce Manhertz this spring, as he committed in late January.

IU’s 2026 recruiting class is currently ranked among the top 20 classes nationally.

Roster additions from the transfer portal

Indiana has not yet added a player from the transfer portal.

The portal opened on Tuesday, April 7 and will be open for 15 days.

Visits – on or off campus – will not begin until Friday, April 10, because of an NCAA dead period for recruiting that runs through Thursday.
