IU basketball freshman guard Aleksa Ristic is moving closer to making his debut for the Hoosiers.

On the availability report released by the Big Ten for tonight’s game at Minnesota, Ristic is listed as questionable to play for the first time this season.

Jason Drake, Josh Harris and walk-on Drew Snively are listed as out tonight for IU.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard from Nis, Serbia, has missed IU’s first seven games with a foot injury.

Ristic signed with the Hoosiers in late June and arrived on campus in early August ahead of the team’s trip to Puerto Rico.

The 20-year-old averaged 4.3 points, three assists, 2.7 rebounds, two turnovers and a steal in 17.5 minutes per game on that trip. Ristic shot 46.2 percent from the field, including 55.6 percent on 2s and 25 percent on 3s.

Before he arrived at IU, Ristic played for Serbia in the FIBA U20 Eurobasket in Heraklion, Greece.  Serbia finished with a 5-2 record in the event.

Ristic averaged 11.3 points, 6.3 assists, 1.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.4 turnovers in 32.1 minutes per game. He shot 33.8 percent from the field, 22.5 percent on 3s and 85.7 percent on free throws.
