IU football remains No. 2 in AP poll, coaches poll after Maryland win
For the third straight week, IU football is No. 2 in the Associated Press top 25 poll and the US LBM coaches top 25 poll.
IU crushed Maryland 55-10 on Saturday afternoon at SECU Stadium in College Park and received 11 votes for the top spot in the AP poll for the second straight week.
In the US LBM coaches poll, the Hoosiers received one first-place vote after receiving zero a week ago.
IU football started the season ranked No. 19 in the coaches poll and No. 20 in the AP poll. After falling in both polls after week one – a 27-14 win against Old Dominion – the Hoosiers have been on the rise.
IU is 9-0 and remains atop the Big Ten standings.
The Hoosiers are 6-0 in conference play with home wins against Illinois, Michigan State and UCLA and road wins at Iowa, Oregon and Maryland.
