IU women’s basketball lands commitment from class of 2026 forward Addison Nyemchek
IU women’s basketball earned a commitment from class of 2026 forward Addison Nyemchek on Sunday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2 Nyemchek announced the commitment on her Instagram account.
She is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN.com and attends Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. Nyemchek played for Philly Rise on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) circuit.
She also considered Michigan and TCU.
Last season at Red Bank Catholic, Nyemchek averaged 14 points, seven rebounds, 3.3 assists, three steal and 1.2 blocked shots in 24.2 minutes per game.
Nyemchek joins Ashlinn James and Zoe Jackson in IU’s 2026 recruiting class.
Here’s a brief scouting report on Nyemchek from Brandon Clay of 247Sports:
“Nyemchek combines length and versatility to produce on both ends of the floor. Her ability to be effective with her jumper, on the glass and on defensive switches is a separator in this class. She’s played at a high level on the club circuit with Philly Rise. Nyemchek has an upside with her physical gifts that could lead to even more production at the college level. If she can shoot the 3-pointer in the high 30’s, Nyemchek’s value to a college program only increases as a result.”
