IU basketball in the final seven for class of 2026 big man Marcis Ponder

IU basketball is in the final seven schools for a four-star big man in the class of 2026.

Marcis Ponder, a 6-foot-11, 330-pound center, has the Hoosiers in his final seven schools.

The other finalists for Ponder include Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Miami (FL), Providence and Texas.

Ponder is the No. 69 player in the rising senior class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He plays at Gillion Basketball Academy in Virginia.

IU assistant coach Kenny Johnson previously recruited Ponder when he was at Georgetown.

Indiana currently has one player committed in the class of 2026. Prince-Alexander Moody committed to the Hoosiers last month.
