North Florida transfer guard Jasai Miles commits to Indiana

North Florida transfer Jasai Miles, a third-team All-ASUN selection last season, announced his commitment to Indiana today.

A 6-foot-6, 210-pound guard from Miami, Florida, Miles has two seasons of eligibility remaining. As a sophomore at North Florida, Miles started all 32 games for the Ospreys, who attempted the highest volume of 3-pointers in the country.

Miles is the fifth portal addition this spring for the Hoosiers, joining Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey and Lamar Wilkerson.

Miles attempted 233 3-pointers and made 78, good for 33.5 percent. He averaged 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 31.6 minutes per game.

Miles scored 11 points in a season-opening win against South Carolina on November 4, and six days later, he scored 18 points in a win against Georgia Tech.

He scored in double figures 29 times, including six games with 20 or more points. His season-high was 30 points in a 93-91 overtime loss at Georgia Southern on December 7.

Miles made at least three 3-pointers in a game on 15 occasions, including a 6-for-12 performance from deep against Georgia Southern.

As a freshman at North Florida, the Miami Country Day High School product started 19 times and averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game.

He’s a career 32.5 percent 3-point shooter with 320 attempts in two seasons.
