IU basketball junior wing Nick Dorn is entering the transfer portal
Indiana junior wing Nick Dorn is entering the transfer portal.
The news was first reported by Joe Tipton and Sam Keyser.
He is the fifth Hoosier to hit the portal this spring, joining Aleksa Ristic, Jasai Miles, Jason Drake and Josh Harris.
Dorn, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound wing from Charlotte, North Carolina, played in 30 games in the 2025-26 season for the Hoosiers and made 12 starts.
He averaged 8.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game. Dorn shot 40.4 percent on 3-pointers, 87 percent from the free-throw line and 38 percent on 3-pointers.
Dorn scored in double figures 11 times, including 23 points in a win at Rutgers on January 23 and 26 points in a double overtime win at UCLA on January 31.
He committed to the Hoosiers out of the transfer portal on April 24, 2025, from Elon University. Dorn was the eighth transfer portal commitment for the Hoosiers for the 2024-25 season for Darian DeVries.
Known primarily as a shooter, he averaged 15.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30.8 minutes per game in the 2024-25 season for the Phoenix and shot 37.4 percent on 3-pointers.
As a freshman at Elon in the 2023-24 season, he was named CAA rookie of the week four times and earned CAA All-rookie team honors.
He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
