IU basketball freshman forward Trent Sisley will return for the 2026-27 season
Indiana freshman forward Trent Sisley will return to the program for the 2026-27 season, according to Joe Tipton of On3.
Tipton reported Sisley’s plans to return early Tuesday morning.
Sisley, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward from Lincoln City, Indiana, appeared in 30 games in the 2025-26 season for the Hoosiers.
He signed with the program in November of 2024 under the former coaching staff, led by Mike Woodson. Sisley played three seasons at Heritage Hills High School before finishing his career at Montverde Academy in Florida.
Sisley holds the career scoring record at Heritage Hills with 1,715 points and was a consensus four-star recruit.
As a freshman at Indiana, Sisley averaged 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game, but his role diminished over the second half of the season.
He shot 43 percent from the field, 53.8 percent from the free-throw line and 27.1 percent on 3-pointers.
Sisley has three seasons of eligibility remaining and is expected to take on a larger role next season for the Hoosiers under Darian DeVries, who is entering his second season as IU’s coach.
