Fernando Mendoza to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight

IU football quarterback Fernando Mendoza will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight, Thursday, January 22.

According to a release from NBC, Mendoza, who won the Heisman Trophy and led the IU program to its first-ever national championship, will sit with Fallon this evening for his first-ever appearance on late-night television.

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.

Tonight’s episode will also include guests Anthony Anderson and Nell Fisher (“Stranger Things”), as well as musical guest Louis Tomlinson.

Mendoza, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, threw for 3,535 yards and 41 touchdowns in the 2025 season for the Hoosiers. His quarterback rating of 90.3 ranked first in the country.
