IU football lands commitment from Montana State transfer defensive back Carson Williams
IU football has landed a commitment from Montana State transfer defensive back Carson Williams. Hayes Fawcett of On3 was first to report the commitment Williams confirmed the news on his Instagram account.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback had 46 tackles, nine pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery this season as a redshirt freshman for the Bobcats, who won the FCS national championship.
Williams earned FCS Football Central freshman All-American honors this past season. He also considered Missouri and Utah.
As a senior at Westfield High School in Houston, Williams earned first-team all-district honors and had 26 tackles, three interceptions and 21 pass breakups.
He has three seasons of eligibility remaining and will be a redshirt sophomore next season.
