Quick thoughts on an 81-60 win against Siena:
How it happened

By the second media timeout at the 11:39 mark, Indiana’s lead was 18-5. Lamar Wilkerson was a driving force at the start, accounting for 10 of IU’s first 18 points. Tayton Conerway found Sam Alexis for a dunk to push IU’s lead to 19 at 30-11, forcing Siena to take another timeout at the 7:02 mark of the first half. The Saints went scoreless for the final 3:55 of the first half, which allowed IU to extend its lead to 46-20 at the break. Wilkerson led all scorers at the break with 19 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists.
It was another poor start to the second half for Indiana, as the offense sputtered and Siena began to gain momentum. Siena got within 15 at 54-39, but Indiana pushed the lead back to 20 on a pair of Wilkerson free throws with 9:55 remaining. At the under-eight media timeout, Indiana led 65-42. Siena got the lead back down to 20 at 69-49 on a bucket by Francis Folefac with 5:47 left. A pair of free throws by Conerway with 4:12 left pushed IU’s lead to 24, putting the game out of reach as the Hoosiers completed non-conference play with their 10th win.
