Curt Cignetti provides IU football injury updates ahead of week 11 matchup at Penn State

IU football is on the road again this week as the Hoosiers are set to battle Penn State at Beaver Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday on FOX.

While the Hoosiers had no issue crushing Maryland 55-10 in week 10, several starters were out due to injury.

Linebacker Aiden Fisher and offensive lineman Drew Evans missed the game and wide receiver Elijah Sarratt left the game in the first quarter due to injury.

At his weekly press conference on Monday in Bloomington, Curt Cignetti provided updates on Fisher, Evans and Sarratt ahead of Saturday’s trip to Penn State:

“We’ll know more on everyone as the week progresses,” Cignetti said. “We didn’t really come out of that game with anything that we would call significant, you know, the bumps and bruises that can occur during the course of a 12-game season.”

Aiden Fisher: “We thought he made really good progress toward the end of last week. Wasn’t quite ready to go. Very optimistic on him.”

Elijah Sarratt: “We’ll know more day-to-day. He’s been dealing with something for the last two weeks but has been able to play. Had a little tweak of something else early in the game and we got him out for precautionary reasons.”

Drew Evans: “Will not be available this week.”

The Hoosiers are 9-0 overall, 6-0 in the Big Ten and ranked No. 2 in the AP top 25 poll and No. 2 in the US LBM coaches top 25 poll.
