Tip time and TV designation set for IU basketball’s game at Kentucky on December 13

  • 1h ago

The tip time and TV designation for IU basketball’s game at Kentucky in December was announced today.

The Hoosiers will travel to Lexington to play the Wildcats on Saturday, December 13.

The game will tip at 7:30 p.m. ET and air on ESPN.

It will be the first meeting between the two programs since the Hoosiers beat Kentucky 73-67 in the 2016 NCAA tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. The win advanced IU to the Sweet Sixteen, where the Hoosiers fell to eventual national runner-up North Carolina, 101-86, in Philadelphia.

Kentucky leads the all-time series between the two programs, 32-25.

This season’s game in Lexington is the first of a four-game series that the programs announced in October of 2023 when Mike Woodson was at the helm in Bloomington and John Calipari was on the sidelines in Lexington.

Next season, IU and Kentucky will play at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

In the 2027-28 season, the series will return to Lexington and in the 2028-29 season, the Wildcats will travel to Bloomington for the first time since 2011.

Additional tip times and TV designations for IU basketball’s 2025-26 schedule are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
