Class of 2027 guard Chase Branham announced his commitment to IU basketball via his Instagram account on Saturday night.

The Logan-Rogersville (Mo.) guard is currently on an official visit to Bloomington. He took an unofficial visit to Indiana back in May and earned a scholarship offer from IU in late March.

The 6-foot-4 Branham is ranked as the No. 43 player nationally in the junior class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

“From the coaches, to the players, to the place, it just felt like home,” Branham said on his Instagram account.

He had a strong list of scholarship offers, including Iowa, Missouri, Creighton, Kansas State, Missouri, Purdue and Tennessee.

Branham plays for the KC Run GMC program, a member of the Under Armour Association circuit. IU assistant coach Nick Norton played for KC Run GMC.

As a sophomore, Branham was named the district and conference player of the year and to the All-State team.

According to the Springfield News-Leader, Branham averaged 19.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds as a sophomore and shot 62 percent from the field.

He was recently among the standouts at the Steph Curry Camp in California. Branham was also invited to USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamp that will take place October 10-12 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
