IU men’s basketball announces complete 2025-26 schedule

The Big Ten has completed the 2025-26 conference schedule for men’s basketball and made the full announcement this afternoon.

ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule on Thursday evening. Indiana will open the 20-game slate at Minnesota on Wednesday, Dec. 3, with the league home opener coming on Tuesday, Dec. 9, against Penn State.

The new year will bring nine Big Ten games. IU will host Washington (Jan. 4), Nebraska (Jan. 10), Iowa (Jan. 17), and Purdue (Jan. 27) with road games at Maryland (Jan. 7), at Michigan State (Jan. 13), at Michigan (Jan. 20), at Rutgers (Jan. 23), and the first leg of the west coast swing at UCLA (Jan. 31).

February will begin at USC (Feb. 3), the second half of the Los Angeles trip. The Hoosiers will return home for a pair of games against Wisconsin (Feb. 7) and Oregon (Feb. 9). The month will close with games at Illinois (Feb. 15), at Purdue (Feb. 20), and home against Northwestern (Feb. 24).

Indiana will host Michigan State (March 1) and Minnesota (March 4) before closing the season on the road at Ohio State (March 7).

The 2026 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played at the United Center in Chicago. The five-day, 15-team tournament will begin with first-round matchups on Wednesday, March 11. The Big Ten Tournament champion will be crowned on Sunday, March 15.
